Sony has released its flagship 1000XM5 series headphones in a new colourway

Sony has released a new version of its popular 1000XM5 series of headphones in the Smoky Pink colour. Both full-size model WH-1000XM5 and vacuum TWS-headphones WF-1000XM5 received the new colour.

Like its predecessors, the WH-1000XM5 headphones feature advanced noise cancellation technology that uses two processors and eight microphones to block out external noise. The Auto NC Optimizer adapts the system's performance depending on the environment, ensuring the best possible sound quality. The headphones also improve voice quality with four beam-forming microphones and AI-based noise cancellation. The headphones last up to 30 hours in active noise cancelling mode and up to 40 hours without it.

The WF-1000XM5 also offers effective noise cancellation with Sony's V2 inline processor and QN2e HD noise cancellation processor, which reduce low frequency noise and provide a more concentrated listening experience. Each earphone houses 3 inbuilt microphones that further improve noise cancellation. The WF-1000XM5 headphones are equipped with a dynamic X driver for better sound quality that delivers a wider sound spectrum, deepened bass and vocal clarity. They support high-resolution wireless audio via the LDAC codec and utilise the DSEE Extreme function for real-time music enhancement. The WF-1000XM5 have an ergonomic design that is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous model, making them comfortable for extended use.
