The cute hobbit life simulator Tales of the Shire will be released in March 2025: the developers held an extensive presentation with details of the game

Private Division publishing house and Weta Workshop held a presentation of Tales of the Shire - a cute game about the measured life of hobbits from The Lord of the Rings universe.

Here's What We Know

At the broadcast, timed to coincide with Hobbit Day, the developers first of all announced the new release date of the game - 25 March 2025.

Viewers were reminded that in Tales of the Shire gamers will find themselves in a settlement of hobbits - Shire. Its inhabitants prefer to lead a leisurely lifestyle, do not tolerate violence, cosily arrange their homes and plots of land, love festivals and fishing, grow flowers and have fun - that's what players will do in Tales of the Shire.

Conceptually, Tales of the Shire is similar to the popular indie game Stardew Valley: it is bright, unhurried, "cosy", friendly and very positive. The game will have a dynamic change of seasons and weather, a small story campaign, rewards for daily activity and much more.

Tales of the Shire is a single-player game and will be available on MS (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
