Capcom could unveil Resident Evil 9 as early as this week! Insider reveals Japanese developer's plans

Insiders have repeatedly raised the topic of Resident Evil 9, but Capcom is in no hurry to officially present the new part of its most successful franchise.

This time interesting information was shared by Chinese insider Lunatic Ignus.

Here's What We Know

On his Discord server, the informant, who has previously made reliable information on numerous occasions, said that Capcom may announce Resident Evil 9 before the end of September. He suggests that it is highly likely that the debut trailer of the new horror game will be presented at State of Play(Sony's show will take place on the night of 25 September) or at the Tokyo Game Show, which will be held from 26 to 29 September. If Capcom doesn't announce the horror game at those shows, it will definitely happen at The Game Awards.

Lunatic Ignus also believes that the Japanese developer will stick to its well-established schedule and release Resident Evil 9 a year after the announcement - in the second half of 2025.
