Samsung brings back GIF creation feature after One UI 6.1.1 update

This month, Samsung released One UI 6.1.1 update for flagship models such as Galaxy S22, S23, S24, as well as for the foldable Galaxy Flip 4 and Fold 4. The update added new features, but also unexpectedly removed the GIF creator tool in Smart Select.

The company has already announced that it will bring back the GIF Creator feature in the near future. The official moderator of the Samsung forum confirmed that it will be restored in late September or early October 2024, taking into account user feedback.

Samsung explained that the removal of GIF Creator was due to changes in the Smart Select structure and the integration of Galaxy AI. The tech giant is working to make the new version even more convenient to use.

After the One UI 6.1.1 update, Samsung is already preparing for the release of One UI 7.0, which is expected to be beta-tested in several countries, including China, Germany, India, South Korea, the UK, and the US.
