TikTok launches the "Subscription" feature: bloggers will be able to share exclusive content with subscribers for a fee
TikTok has announced the launch of a new monetisation feature called Subscription, which will allow creators to share exclusive content with subscribers for a fee. This feature is an expanded version of the previous LIVE Subscription tool, which was renamed in March.
Here's What We Know
With the new feature, authors can offer three different subscription levels, each of which provides access to unique content and bonuses.
Subscribers will get access to exclusive videos, the opportunity to participate in LIVE broadcasts and use special stickers. Their names will appear with community identifiers in profiles and comments.
Subscribers will also be able to communicate with content creators on the Sub Space platform. Bloggers can customise bonuses for their subscribers, choosing from a ready-made list that includes Discord roles, greetings, and opportunities for joint games.
To access this feature, authors must be at least 18 years old, have at least 10,000 subscribers and 100,000 video views in the previous calendar month. The new feature is already available for some creators in selected countries and will soon roll out to other markets.
