Spotify has expanded the availability of its AI playlists feature to the US, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand after initially launching to premium subscribers in the UK and Australia.

Here's What We Know

The feature, which is in beta on Android and iOS devices, allows users to create personalised playlists based on text queries. For example, users can enter the query "romantic playlist for an evening at home" and get a selection of songs that match the mood. The playlist can be further customised by adding new queries and using Spotify's recommendations by genre, mood, artist and decade.

Users can also add locations, animals, characters from movies, colours and even emoji to create unique playlists. Spotify says the feature has already been used successfully in the UK and Australia, where subscribers have created millions of playlists that they keep coming back to. The new feature is available under "Your Library" via the "+" button in the top right corner of the screen.
