HP launches HP Print AI to optimise printing in the home and office

At the HP Imagine 2024 event, HP unveiled new artificial intelligence (AI) tools called HP Print AI that promise to optimise printing in home, office and industrial environments.

The new features, including Perfect Output, are designed to reduce ink consumption and improve the formatting of documents such as spreadsheets.

HP notes that approximately half of all printing jobs are related to web pages, and this is an area where its new AI-based solutions can significantly reduce errors. The Perfect Output feature can remove unwanted elements such as ads and optimise the layout for printing, reducing the number of pages printed.

In addition, HP introduced Scan AI Enhanced, which reduces scanning labour by 80% for large retail groups. For the construction and architecture industries, HP Build Workspace has been developed to promote collaboration and productivity.

The new AI tools will be rolled out in the US and Europe from 24 September 2024, including a beta version of Perfect Output for select customers, with a full launch scheduled for the end of 2025.
