The Midnight Walk - a dark fantasy adventure animated in stop-motion style, will be released on PS5 and PS VR2 in 2025

In addition to big games at State of Play, such as Ghost of Yōtei, indie projects were also shown, and some of them have a rather unique style. And one of them was The Midnight Walk by the authors of Lost in Random.

Here's What We Know

The Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure that will be released for PS5 and PS VR2 in 2025.

The peculiarity of the game is that it is created in the "handmade" style, where every fingerprint can be seen up close, every moulded curve of clay is visible on the ground you walk on and on the monsters that try to eat you. So, every object in the game was first sculpted from clay and then scanned in 3D and animated in stop-motion style! We have already seen something similar in Harold Halibut.

We play as The Burnt One, a mysterious creature who dug himself out of a muddy grave to find his destiny. You also find Potboy, a small lantern that you light and bring back to life.

Together, you must travel the Midnight Trail, a dangerous, nightmarish highway, and along the way, experience five strange stories about fire, its life-giving warmth, and its inherent danger. You will outwit terrifying enemies and meet fantastic companions.
