Samsung has announced the expansion of its cooperation with Hyundai and Kia, and now their cars will be able to use the SmartThings Find function.

Here's What We Know

This innovation will allow car owners to search for their vehicles using Galaxy smartphones. The agreement was signed at the Samsung Electronics R&D Campus in Seoul.

SmartThings Find uses Bluetooth LE data from millions of Galaxy devices to track lost or stolen vehicles, even if the GPS function is not working. With this integration, users can adjust home devices such as air conditioning or air purifier when they return home, and check their car's range.

In addition, Samsung, Hyundai, and Kia are working on new features that will allow you to monitor your car's condition using the Galaxy camera and smartwatch. The companies are also developing solutions to help make travelling with pets more comfortable.
