The Google Store has announced the launch of a new USB-C to HDMI cable developed by Cable Matters specifically for Pixel 8 and later phones.

Here's What We Know

This cable supports DisplayPort, which was introduced in June this year with the Android 14 QPR3 update. This allows users to connect their phones to HDMI displays.

The cable is six feet long and its connectors are optimised for USB-C DP Alt Mode and HDMI (4K@60Hz). The new accessory costs $29.99.

It is available in the Google Store along with an HDMI extension cable and a multi-port adapter from the same brand.

This feature allows you to project photos, videos, and slides onto a larger screen, as well as display the entire phone display.

You can view your notes in the Google Slides app while using the cable.

USB-C to HDMI is supported on the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold.
