After a series of failed releases, Ubisoft is radically changing its plans for releasing games.

The idea of the French publisher to ignore Steam turned out to be disastrously unsuccessful, as this platform is far ahead of the EGS and Ubisoft Store services in terms of popularity among PC-gamers.

The developer has recognised its strategy as wrong and is taking emergency measures to correct the situation.

Here's What We Know

Now all new Ubisoft games will be immediately released on Steam, and the first such novelty will be Assassin's Creed Shadows, the release of which was postponed to February.

And on the 21st of November Steam users will get access to the action game Star Wars Outlaws. It is because of the unsuccessful release and poor sales of this game that Ubisoft is changing its business strategy.

Massive Entertainment Studios plans to significantly improve all elements of Star Wars Outlaws and release some major updates. The developer also announced that the first Wild Card story add-on, in which players will be able to perform a daring heist alongside iconic Star Wars character Lando Calrissian, will also be released on 21 November.

Along with the DLC, there will be a few additional freebies in the game.

As for Star Wars Outlaws updates, they are being handled by several Ubisoft divisions at once. Patches are planned to be released in a hurry to improve the game in time for the winter holidays, hoping to attract an additional audience.
