Apple has released a new update for AirPods Pro 2

Apple has announced the release of the next firmware update for AirPods Pro 2, which came just a week after the previous update and two weeks after the release of iOS 18 with new features for AirPods.

In the new firmware version, the build number has changed from 7A302 to 7A305. Earlier this month, Apple released a major update that included features such as voice isolation and improved personalised volume.

Apple did not provide any details about the new update.

How to check AirPods firmware version

To find out what firmware version your AirPods have, do the following:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Go to the Bluetooth section.
  • Find your AirPods in the list of devices.
  • Tap the "i" icon next to them.
  • Check the firmware version number.

Apple notes that firmware updates for AirPods are installed automatically when AirPods are charging and within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac connected to Wi-Fi. You can also check the firmware version of your AirPods using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
