Microsoft and Bad Guitar studio (a subsidiary of Thunder Fire Studio) invite gamers to the closed beta testing of FragPunk online shooter.

Here's What We Know

FragPunk testing will start on 10/11 October (depending on the region) and will last until 21/22 October on Steam and Xbox Series with crossplay support.

The beta will offer players:

  • 5 new maps: 3 added to Shard Clash mode (6 maps available in total) and 2 maps in Team Deathmatch (3 maps available in total);
  • 2 new characters: Spider and Sonar join the growing list of heroes, giving you a total of 12 characters to choose from;
  • 2 new weapons: there are now 17 available;
  • 3 new modes: Ranked Shard Clash, New Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Core (six in total).

The FragPunk website tells you how to join the beta. Participants will not be obliged to remain silent and will be allowed to share impressions about the game.

FragPunk is a colourful online shooter, similar to Overwatch: players will be offered a roster of unique characters, which can be personalised using packs of cards. Gamers will have to participate in heated matches on various maps in teams of five.

Hopefully, FragPunk won't be as much of a failure for Microsoft as Concord was for Sony.
