A new feature called Soundscape has been discovered in Windows 11 that will replace the sound settings in the Control Panel.

Here's What We Know

According to user @phantomofearth on his X profile, the feature was found in a hidden page in an internal build of Windows 11. Although the Soundscape page is not yet populated and is not present in test builds, Microsoft is gradually moving users to the modern settings page. When the new Soundscape page is enabled, the link to the old Control Panel Sound window disappears.

Currently, the Soundscape panel doesn't have any settings yet, but its description includes options such as start sound, schema, and audio events. This indicates that Microsoft is still trying to get rid of the outdated control panel, which has been around for nearly 40 years. Despite the company's efforts, the control panel is still present in Windows, but Soundscape is another step towards replacing it with a more modern and user-friendly interface.
