Bloomberg: next year Apple will release HomePod with display, Apple Intelligence and homeOS, there will also be a version with a robotic arm
In a new edition of Power On, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared details about Apple's upcoming new products.
Here's What We Know
According to Mark, Apple is working on two versions of the HomePod with displays, with one of them set to launch as early as next year.
So, it will be a more budget smart display codenamed J490 and an expensive variant with a robotic arm and larger display that goes by the codename J595.
Both devices will support Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features and run the new homeOS operating system. More specifically, homeOS is expected to be based on tvOS and the two platforms will be merged in the future.
According to early leaks, the budget smart display should get an A18 processor, a square display, a camera for FaceTime, and recognition of various hand gestures. As for the robotic arm version, it will likely cost over $1,000.
It looks like both new products will help Apple bring Apple Intelligence into the home ecosystem.
