Denmark to allocate more than $600 million to purchase weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces through the Ukrainian defence industry
In Kyiv, Danish Defence Minister Trolls Lund Pulsen confirmed his readiness to continue supplying weapons to the Ukrainian Defence Forces through the Ukrainian defence industry.
Here's What We Know
The Danish Ministry of Defence has reported that Denmark and Ukraine continue to purchase arms from the Ukrainian defence industry for a total of about $600 million.
The protocol signed by the ministers of the two countries concerns the intention to continue cooperation on specific purchases from Ukrainian defence companies.
This will be funded by $194 million in government funding and $434 million in proceeds from frozen Russian assets.
"Denmark is leading the way by donating arms directly from the Ukrainian defence industry. This strengthens the ability of Ukrainians to produce the weapons that are in demand," said Trolls Lund Poulsen.
