It's scary, turn it off: Konami publishes preview of Silent Hill 2 soundtrack with 90 tracks

On 8 October, the long-awaited remake of Silent Hill 2 will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC. Akira Yamaoka, the composer of the original game, has returned to create the soundtrack, and Konami has released a preview of the music.

Here's What We Know

A preview of the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack has appeared on YouTube and it lasts 49 minutes. For convenience, Konmai added timecodes.

There will be about 90 tracks in total. There were 30 in the original part.

Akira said that he reworked all the original tracks and wrote new ones. After 25 years, his approach to music has changed, so the game reflects these changes, combining his past passion with today's sound. Finally, the composer noted that working on the remake challenged him like never before.
