Xiaomi 15 Pro will get a telephoto lens like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra

New details about the Xiaomi 15 Pro flagship have surfaced on the internet.

This time a Chinese insider reported that the novelty will get an improved telephoto lens compared to the current model Xiaomi 14 Pro. We are talking about the Sony IMX858 sensor with an equivalent focal length of 120 mm and an optical zoom of 5x. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Pro comes with a 74mm lens and support for 3.2x optical zoom.

Incidentally, we have already seen the Sony IMX858 in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone. This sensor has an optical format of 1/2.51 inches and is a 50-megapixel Quad Bayer module with 0.7 µm pixels.

Apart from the 50-megapixel telephoto lens, the Xiaomi 15 Pro should also get a 50-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.5, as well as a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor.

As for other specs of the new product, they will include a 120Hz OLED screen, IP69 protection, a bigger 5000mAh battery with up to 100W charging and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

When We Can Expect It

The Xiaomi 15 Pro will be released on 23 October. The novelty will be introduced along with the base model Xiaomi 15.
