According to a well-known informant Digital Chat Station, the new flagship chipsets Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 are expected to see a price increase, and hence smartphones with these chips will also go up in price.

Here's What We Know

According to the latest reports, the prices of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 processors will increase by about 20% compared to the previous generations. The Dimensity 9400 is expected to cost around $155 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to cost around $190. This price increase is due to the improved features and performance of the new chips.

For example, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will have a high-performance core clocked at 4.2 GHz, which is significantly higher than previous models. Both processors will compete with other flagship chips such as Apple's A18 Pro and Samsung's Exynos 2500.

Price increases could affect the cost of end devices using these processors, which in turn could affect consumers. However, the improved features and performance may justify this price increase by offering users better performance and energy efficiency.
