Galaxy S21 FE Snapdragon in India gets security update

Samsung has announced the release of a software update for the international Snapdragon-based version of the Galaxy S21 FE, which is now available in India.

This update, with model number SM-G990B2, contains the September 2024 security patch that addresses 67 vulnerabilities.

The update was previously made available in several regions, but India was left out. Users can now enjoy improved security, although the changelog doesn't mention any new features or performance improvements.

How To Switch It On

To download and install the update, go to Settings, Software update, Download and install. The new build package G990B2XXS8GXI1 should be available.
