Samsung releases security update for Galaxy A53 in Asia and Europe
Samsung continues to support its mid-range Galaxy A53 smartphone and has released a new security update that is now available in many countries.

Last week, the update went live in Europe and the US, and now it's rolling out to other regions, including Asia.
The update has firmware version A536EXXSBEXI1 and addresses 67 vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software. Galaxy A53 users in countries such as Afghanistan, Australia, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Ukraine and others can check for the update by going to the device settings.
To update manually, you need to download the new firmware version from the database and back up your data.
The Galaxy A53 was released two years ago with Android 12 and received an update to Android 13 at the end of 2022, and to Android 14 in 2023. It's also expected to receive Android 15 (One UI 7.0) in the coming months, followed by Android 16 next year.
