Renders of the new mid-budget Google Pixel 9a smartphone have appeared online
Fresh renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a smartphone have emerged, hinting at significant changes in its design. According to the new renders, Google may abandon the traditional camera panel that has become the hallmark of the Pixel series.
Here's What We Know
The two cameras will be flush with the rear panel, framed in the shape of tablets.
Renders confirm that the overall design of the Pixel 9a resembles the Pixel 9, with flat sides and rounded corners, although the bezels remain quite prominent for a budget device. The smartphone is expected to come with Android 15 and feature a Tensor G4 chip, which promises to be an updated version of the one used in the Pixel 9.
According to the information, the Pixel 9a may also have a larger battery than its predecessor. These renders are in line with previous leaked images that appeared back in August, but there are still many questions about its functionality and specifications.
Google is likely to unveil the smartphone at the I/O conference in spring 2025. However, conflicting rumours point to the possibility of its release by the end of 2024.
