Sony has started to fight against PlayStation 5 Pro overbuying: in Japan, you need to have at least 30 hours of PS4/5 play to place an order

After the announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition, consoles began to be bought up by second-handers and sold at a large markup. Neither Sony nor players like this. So the company came up with a solution that would at least partially solve this problem.

Here's What We Know

In Japan, anyone who wants to pre-order the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition must meet the following conditions: have a PSN account registered in Japan and have at least 30 hours of PS4 or PS5 play between February 2014 and 19 September 2024.

So if someone in Japan wants to make money, but has never played a PlayStation, they will not succeed.
