Other manufacturers are also expected to announce flagships in October. For example, the Vivo X200 series will be released on 14 October, while the Xiaomi 15 lineup is expected to be announced on 23 October. Oppo is likely to unveil its Find X8 series of flagships this month too. All these devices will first appear in the Chinese market before going international.
The main reason for these mass launches is the release of new processors - Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek's Dimensity 9400, which will also debut this month. These chipsets will be used in the aforementioned smartphones as well as other devices from OnePlus, Samsung, Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo. Apart from the new processors, common features expected in the new Chinese-made flagships include a 6,000mAh battery, speed charging of around 100W, IP68 or IP69 protection rating, and basic flagship variants with 12GB of RAM.
