Google has updated Gemini Advanced to 1.5 Pro-002

Google has introduced a new Gemini-1.5-Pro-002 model for developers, and it is now available in Gemini Advanced for paid subscribers.

This version of Gemini Advanced uses the chat-optimised 1.5 Pro-002 model.

Google highlights improvements in tests

• General and maths tests: the model showed an increase of about 7% in the MMLU-Pro test.
• Mathematical tasks: both models improved their results by 20% in MATH and HiddenMath tests.
• Visualisation and code: In the Python Visual Comprehension and Code Generation tests, both models showed an increase of between 2 and 7%.

For Gemini Advanced users, this means that the model now provides more accurate answers to queries related to mathematics and complex topics. Google emphasises the importance of continuous model training and user feedback.

In July, the free version of Gemini was updated to 1.5 Flash, and in August, its speed was improved.
