FIM-92 Stinger

The Stinger FIM-92, developed by Raytheon for the US military, is a surface-to-air weapon for engaging air targets. Due to its compact and lightweight characteristics, weighing about 10 kilograms, this system can be carried by a single soldier.

An integrated infrared guidance system allows the missile to track and engage targets at distances of up to 4.8 kilometres and at altitudes of up to 3.8 kilometres in the air.
