Microsoft has released Office 2024: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook have many new and needed features

Microsoft has released an updated Office 2024 toolkit for users who prefer a one-time purchase instead of a Microsoft 365 subscription. The updated suite includes updated versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook.

Here's What We Know

Following the previous 2021 version, Office 2024 has received a number of updates, including all apps with Windows-style Fluent Design, improved accessibility features for people with disabilities, support for the ODF format, and the ability to add smartphone photos to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excel has gained support for dynamic charts, 14 new features for working with text and data sets, and the ability to insert images into tables via the IMAGE function to retrieve images from the web. The overall speed of the application has been improved.

PowerPoint has added the ability to insert camera broadcasts into a slide and record the presentation along with a person's voice and video.

Outlook includes improved search and advanced meeting management capabilities, and Word offers restore recent documents in case of unexpected crashes.

Office 2024 is available for Windows 10 and 11, as well as on the latest three versions of macOS.

The Home version of Office 2024 costs $149, while the Business version with Outlook and commercial use costs $249.
