Sony updates WH-1000XM5, WF-1000XM5 and LinkBuds S wireless headphones with Find My Device support and new Sound Connect design

Sony has updated its wireless headphones, including the WH-1000XM5, WF-1000XM5, and LinkBuds S models.

These devices now support Google's Find My Device feature. This means that users will be able to find their headphones more easily if they get lost. The update also includes an Auto Switch feature that automatically switches audio connections between different devices.

In addition, Sony has changed the name of its Headphones Connect app to Sound Connect. The new design of the app uses elements of Material 3 and makes it easier to navigate. For example, instead of the recognisable yellow headphone icon, there is now a more abstract symbol.

In the new version of the app, users will be able to quickly access the most popular features and notifications about recommended settings in the "Discover" tab.
