A video from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine shows the first demonstration of a prototype of the Bohdan trailer artillery system to foreign partners.

Here's What We Know

At around the eighteenth second mark, the trailer artillery system is seen for a few moments. However, the description does mention it, but it is listed as a self-propelled unit.

It should be explained that Ukraine has long been developing a 155mm artillery system based on the artillery unit of the 2S22 Bogdan wheeled vehicle.

It was known that a cheaper version of the system was being considered, with the installation of an already proven artillery unit on a Soviet-style carriage.

Several 152-mm trailer artillery systems were considered: "Msta-B, Hyacinth-B and D-20. As can be seen in the video, it is mounted on the 152mm 2A236 Hyacinth-B carriage with design changes.

The trailed version of the Bogdana lacks a protective shield and has certain changes to the artillery system's guidance mechanism.

In addition, the guidance system has also been modified and a different fixation of the gun barrel can be seen visually. The recoil mechanism is covered by a protective box, so it is difficult to see the changes.
