The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence against ZALA Aero and proved that the company has produced almost 5,000 attack and reconnaissance drones since the start of the full-scale war.

Here's What We Know

The SBU collected information about Oleksandr Zakharov, the owner and chief designer of the company. Today, this company, based in Izhevsk, is one of the largest manufacturers of combat drones for the Russian army.

The company's main models of unmanned aerial vehicles include Lancet drones. In addition, the company is actively producing the latest reconnaissance drones ZALA Z-16 and ZALA Z-20.

To explain, the occupiers use Lancets as kamikaze drones for direct attacks on Ukrainian armoured vehicles. ZALA drones, on the other hand, search for potential targets or adjust fire, and after being hit, record the effects of the strikes.

Based on the evidence, SBU investigators served Zakharov with a notice of suspicion.

"Since the defendant is on the territory of Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against our state," the SBU said.
