HyperOS 2.0 is being tested on more than a dozen Xiaomi and Redmi devices and could be announced as early as October

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15. No official launch date has been announced yet, but the new OS is expected to arrive as early as this month.

Here's What We Know

Internal builds of HyperOS 2.0 are being tested for many Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, including the upcoming Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. For the Xiaomi 15, the firmware version is numbered OS2.0.1.1.5.VOCCNXM, while for the 15 Pro, it is OS2.0.1.2.VOBCNXM.

Apart from the flagship pair, internal testing of the new firmware has also started for more than a dozen other Xiaomi and Redmi devices. These devices will be the first to receive the update in China. Global users are likely to start getting the update in December, with wider rollout expected in January 2025. HyperOS 2.0 will bring a host of improvements, including a revamped interface, performance optimisations and deeper integration with Xiaomi's AI features.
