In the media there is information about the premiere date of the new film adaptation of Stephen King's famous story "The Running Man" (The Running Man), which is filmed by Paramount Pictures.

Here's What We Know

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the remake of "The Running Man" will be released on 21 November 2025.

The director of the modern version of the 1987 film will be Edgar Wright - the author of "Zombie named Shaun" (Shaun of the Dead), and in the main roles will be Glen Powell and martial arts master Katy O'Brian.

Recall, the original film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role differed from King's story, because of which the author and did not like this adaptation and publicly criticised it. It is reported that Edgar Wright's version will be much closer to the source material and will almost verbatim retell the story of Ben Richards, who agreed to take part in a deadly reality show to make money for his family.

The events of The Running Man are set in a dystopian dystopian world of the not-too-distant future (note Stephen King's 2025!), where society lives in poverty, disease, hunger and social inequality, and many people go to desperate lengths to survive.
