We have already reported that critics warmly welcomed Silent Hill 2 Remake and highly appreciated the work of Polish studio Bloober Team.

Gamers will be able to get acquainted with the updated horror game on the 8th of October, but Deluxe-edition buyers have already got access to the game and are actively sharing their impressions.

Here's What We Know

It's no secret that many gamers were critical of the Silent Hill 2 remake, not least because of Konami's questionable trailers, which for some reason showed an early build of the game that didn't reflect its real quality.

Well, Silent Hill fans can relax and wait for the release: the feedback from gamers was "very positive". Steam users agree with the critics and praise Bloober Team for their work. Players appreciated the careful treatment of the source material, preservation of the creepy atmosphere, gameplay improvements, increased variety of puzzles, expansion of some storylines and, of course, great audio-visual performance: the game sounds and looks great.

Contrary to current trends, Silent Hill 2 remake boasts good optimisation and few bugs. One of the main drawbacks is such a minor detail as the need to get close and at the right angle to objects for interaction, but this flaw can be fixed in one of the nearest patches. Some complain about optimisation, but they are in the absolute minority.

When We Can Expect It

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on the 8th of October on PC and PS5, and after a year the game may be released on other platforms as well.
