A well-known insider confirms that iOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence will be released on 28 October
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release iOS 18.1 on 28 October 2024.
Here's What We Know
This update will provide iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 users with the first set of Apple Intelligence features.
Gurman notes that the release date was postponed to a later date to give the company more time to prepare its cloud servers for increased traffic.
In the new version, users will be able to take advantage of advanced texting tools, a new Siri interface, as well as a summary of notifications from various apps such as Messages and Mail. In addition, a new Cleanup tool will be introduced in the Photos app, which uses generative artificial intelligence to remove unwanted elements from images.
More advanced features, including ChatGPT support and the ability to create custom emojis through Genmoji, are expected in the iOS 18.2 update, which is scheduled for December.
An updated Siri with personalised responses could be released in early 2025.
