Halo developer 343 Industries is in for some big changes: as it was recently announced, the studio has been rebranded and is now called Halo Studios as the franchise prepares for the "next era".

Here's What We Know

"If you really break Halo down, there are two very clear chapters. Chapter 1 is Bungie. Chapter 2 is 343 Industries. Now, I think we have an audience that wants more. So we're not just going to try to improve development efficiency, but we're going to change the recipe for how we make Halo games. So today we're starting a new chapter," said studio head Pierre Hintze in a statement.

However, you may be wondering what exactly does the studio's rebranding entail, besides changing the name? As we wrote earlier, all Halo games will now be developed on Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, although the studio used its own Slipspace engine before. The developers also said that they have "recalibrated the way they develop content".

Well, we will see if such changes will help to fix the rather difficult situation of the Microsoft series.
