Here's which devices Apple may soon discontinue
Apple recently unveiled the iPhone 16 series and is gearing up for another big event this month where updates to the iPad and Mac will be announced. This means that the current models in these series may soon be discontinued.
Here's What We Know
The company is expected to unveil new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max processors. With the release of these powerful devices, the current MacBook Pro models with M3 chips may be discontinued.
The Mac Mini is also expected to be updated to get M4 and M4 Pro processors, which could lead to the discontinuation of models with M2 chips released in early 2023. The iMac lineup will also see changes, with new models getting M4 processors, replacing the current M3.
In addition, Apple plans to release a new iPad mini with an A18 chip and artificial intelligence capabilities, which could mean the end for iPad mini 6 models. iPad 11 is also expected, which could lead to the discontinuation of the iPad 10.
These changes have yet to be officially confirmed, but they're in line with Apple's refresh cycle, which often phases out older models after new ones are announced.
