The number of downloads of mods for Baldur's Gate III reached 22 million
It's been almost a month since Baldur's Gate 3 on PC received Patch 7, which added mod support, new sinister endings, and other updates. This week, the patch was also released for Xbox and PlayStation, and was very well received. According to Larian Studios, 1.7 million mods were downloaded in the first 24 hours.
Here's What We Know
PC players are leading the way with 22 million mods downloaded since September. More than 200 mods have been downloaded through the Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit, with over 768 mod authors contributing to the game. Impressively, over 40 per cent of current players are using mods.
While this is the biggest update from Larian since the game's full release last year, there are more to come. The team is continuing to optimise performance and improve the quality of the game, and future updates are expected to include crossplay and photo mode, although no release date has been set.
