According to the latest leaks, Garmin is preparing to release new smartwatches Fenix 8 with microLED display and Tactix 8 with AMOLED screen.

Here's What We Know

The Fenix 8 could be the world's first smartwatch to feature microLED technology, which provides high brightness, energy efficiency, and durability without the risk of screen burn-in, although it is more expensive to produce than OLED.

Garmin has signed a contract with Vuzix to supply the microLED panels that will be used in the new flagship smartwatch.

The Tactix 8 will be available in two sizes of 47 and 51 millimetres, unlike the previous Tactix 7, which had only one option. The Tactix series is distinguished by its special features, including a built-in flashlight, night vision mode and the option to quickly wipe all watch data.

These models have already appeared in the Garmin Connect IQ Store's lists of compatible watches, indicating that the official launch is approaching.
