Garmin has announced a stable update for its Forerunner series smartwatches, which is available for the 55, 65, 165, 265, 955 and 965 models.

Here's What We Know

The update includes bug fixes, including a fix for an issue that was causing crashes when starting new activities.

It has been less than two weeks since the previous software version 20.31 was released for the Forerunner 165. This model, which costs about $249.99 on Amazon, has been on a separate development cycle, but now also received new improvements.

Garmin has also abandoned testing new features in its beta programme for the Forerunner series. Instead, the new 20.31 update, which has been designated as a Release Candidate, is ready for general availability. All copies of this version will be the same, with no significant differences in functionality.

The bug fixes also include improvements to Varia Radar graphics.

How To Switch It On

Users can download the update manually through the settings menu, go to the "Software Update" section. For more information, please visit the Garmin forums.
