Ukraine to receive Mirage 2000 fighter jets in early 2025: French Defence Minister names approximate dates of aircraft delivery
In June 2024, the French government promised to provide Ukraine with Mirage 2000 fighter jets. No additional information was disclosed at the time, but finally some details from an official were voiced.

French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu said that according to the outlined plan, the fourth-generation Mirage 2000 multi-role fighters will appear in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025.
France will equip the aircraft with modern defence systems that will be able to strike ground targets and electronic warfare systems. It is not insignificant that the French side is actively continuing the training of Ukrainian pilots and mechanics.

Ukraine has been using the US F-16 fighter for combat missions since mid-2024, and the Mirage 2000 will become the second Western aircraft in the service of the country's Air Force.
The Dassault Mirage 2000 is France's fourth-generation multirole fighter aircraft. It was developed by Dassault Aviation in the 1970s. The main combat aircraft of the French Air Force in the late 1990s and 2000s. Besides France, it was also operated by some countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Since the beginning of production of the Dassault Mirage 2000, more than 600 aircraft have been produced.
As for the Mirage 2000-5, it is a modernised version of the original Mirage 2000, designed to perform a variety of combat missions. The Mirage 2000-5 is equipped with modern avionics, including an improved RDY radar system that allows it to detect and track multiple targets simultaneously. The aircraft is armed with air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and is also capable of carrying bombs and other munitions.
