Apple recently released the iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS 15 Sequoia operating system updates.

They include many useful changes and among them was a useful option for gamers.

Here's What We Know

Users of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS 15 Sequoia devices can now make wired connections to Xbox controllers.

Previously, Apple devices supported wireless connection with gamepad from Xbox and PlayStation, but due to the specifics of the USB protocol, Microsoft controllers lacked the ability to connect directly using a cable, unlike similar devices from Sony.

Apple users can now choose their preferred method of connecting an Xbox gamepad, but it's worth remembering that using a USB cable reduces response time in games.
