Netflix has revealed the premiere date of the film adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's cult novel One Hundred Years of Solitude.

Here's What We Know

The series will be released on 11 December on Netflix streaming service and will tell the story of the Buendía family, who lived in the author's fictional city of Macondo.

The plot of the work is not historically accurate, but is based on real events that took place in Colombia and covers the period from the early 1800s to the early 1900s.

Viewers can expect a full range of emotions: sadness, joy, grief, sadness, bewilderment, grief, anger and more. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is not only the story of one family, but also chronicles the events of the town of Macondo.

The series is in Spanish, with the sons of the legendary Gabriel Garcia Marquez as its producers, and starring Claudio Cataño, Jeronimo Baron, Marco Gonzalez, Suzana Morales and Ella Beserra.
