Google Meet can now transcribe and record meetings by default
Google has announced new features for Workspace users that allow you to automatically transcribe and record video meetings in Google Meet. Now you won't have to worry about whether you've managed to record an important conversation.
Here's What We Know
There are three main settings available in the new version: automatic transcription of meetings for written reports, automatic video recording, and note-taking with Gemini AI. Users can customise these options or disable them if they are concerned about privacy.
The automatic recording function will greatly simplify the process of taking notes, and the transcription option will provide access to text reports of meetings. Users with access to Gemini AI will be able to create notes during calls.
Google also emphasises the importance of privacy and allows participants to easily opt out of using these tools. The new features will start to appear for Workspace users in the coming days.
