According to a rumour from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release an updated Magic Keyboard for new iPad Air models in early 2024. The keyboard is expected to be available for 11- and 13-inch versions of the tablet.

Here's What We Know

The new iPad Air keyboard may get some of the features added to the latest version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, which was released in May this year. The updated Magic Keyboard may include a thinner and lighter design, an aluminium kickstand, an updated trackpad, and an additional row of keys for quick adjustments to screen brightness, volume, and other settings.

The insider noted that the new iPad Air models are codenamed J607 and J637, and the new keyboards are R307 and R308. Although they will be similar to the iPad Pro keyboards, some features may be limited.

Apple released the current iPad Air models with the M2 chip in May, so the next update may focus on improved features and new accessories.
