Garmin has announced the start of a new beta testing phase for its smartwatches and released software version 19.21.

Here's What We Know

This update is available for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, Epix 2, Epix 2 Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2 models. Users must manually launch the update as it is not automatically downloaded.

The new version has improved map controls, which should improve navigation. In addition, Garmin has fixed several bugs, including those related to swimming in the pool, where the distance could be displayed as zero. It also fixed an issue with the loss of altitude data during sports activities.

Another important improvement was the elimination of the delay in switching on the flashlight on some Connect IQ watch faces.

Please note that the ECG function will be disabled during the beta version installation. Users can check for the update by going to the menu: Main menu, System, Software update, Check for updates.

You can join the beta programme via the Connect app.
