Veterans of Bethesda, BioWare and Naughty Dog announce Hawthorn, a fabulous RPG sandbox about anthropomorphic animals
In recent years, it has become a popular trend for developers from large studios to create their own small projects because they are tired of developing giant games. And one of these announced projects is Hawthorn, an RPG sandbox about anthropomorphic animals and fairy tale creatures.
Here's What We Know
The game is developed by NEARstudios, which was founded by developers from Bethesda, BioWare, and Naughty Dog.
In Hawthorn, you will have to attract villagers and develop a community. You can play alone or in co-op. You will have to explore the world, harvest crops, fish, farm, and build various buildings.
You will also overcome weather challenges and celebrate each of the four seasons. Go through random events that make the story of each player in the sandbox unique, choose a peaceful solution to each conflict or choose the path of battle. And you will do it all as a character you create yourself.
Once upon a time, forest creatures built a trading post in the forgotten Windermere Valley, but now this place is a haven for rodents, fairy creatures, and mysterious rumours about why this village was abandoned
When We Can Expect It
The game's release is unknown, but Hawthorn already has a page on Steam.
