At the end of last week, so powerful magnetic storms were recorded on Earth that Polar Lights were observed even in southern latitudes. Thus, in the city of Odessa (Ukraine), which is located on the shore of the Black Sea, local residents admired an unusually beautiful atmospheric phenomenon that does not occur under normal circumstances.

On 8 October, the Sun had another powerful coronal mass ejection of class X, which at a speed of 4.3 to 4.7 million km / h moving towards the Earth and, by the way, this speed is a record.

Here's What We Know

The solar plasma will crash into the Earth's magnetic field on 10-11 October and will cause the strongest magnetic storm, which, as always, will pose a threat to high-voltage power lines, satellites may be affected, the consequence of which is possible violations in the work of navigation and communication systems on Earth.

A significant deterioration in the well-being of meteor-dependent people should be expected, they may have severe headaches, blood pressure spikes, accelerated heartbeat, dizziness.

As a consoling bonus from such significant solar emissions, the earthlings will receive stunning Polar Lights in places where they do not happen.

Unfortunately, many more such flares are expected in the near future, because, as scientists warn, at this time the Sun is going through a period of increased activity, which will last about a year.
