A mistake or a hint? Looks like Netflix is prepping a second season of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (and Terminator Zero)

In September, film company Netflix announced a new joint project with CD Projekt RED.

Due to the complete lack of details and some statements of the management of the Polish company, most people interpreted the announcement as a brand new animated series on the Cyberpunk universe, but it seems that it was about the continuation of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Here's What We Know

Netflix's Latino X publisher has published a new post showing upcoming animated premieres, and among them, the poster mentions the second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

As a reminder, the series was released in September 2022 and was a prequel of sorts to the Cyberpunk 2077 game, and starred a young mercenary named David Martinez who faced off against Night City legend Adam Smasher in an unequal battle.

Due to some plot specifics (which we won't reveal), it's hard to know how the story will continue, but it will be all the more interesting to wait for more details from Netflix and watch the second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The post was quickly deleted, but the poster remains online. We should not rule out that the mention of the second season of Edgerunners is a mistake, and the audience is waiting for a new anime.

By the way, the second season of Terminator Zero is also listed among the premieres, which is no less surprising since the series was released at the end of August and it's obvious that the sequel can't be released so quickly.

But what is in no doubt is the second season of Arcane - it will premiere on 9 November.
