The release trailer of the ambitious JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio from the creators of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei has been unveiled
Tomorrow - 11th October - will see the release of the ambitious JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio from the creators of the popular Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series.
Here's What We Know
Developers from Japanese studio Atlus presented a spectacular release trailer, which showed gameplay footage and fragments of staged scenes.
In Metaphor: ReFantazio, the protagonist and his companions will have to embark on a dangerous journey to find the Prince and lift the curse from him, thus ending the bloody war of succession.
Players are expected a complex combat system, a huge number of unique enemies, vivid characters, rich plot, deep dialogues and excellent visual design. All these theses are confirmed by the highest marks of critics, who called Metaphor: ReFantazio "one of the best games of the year" and "the pinnacle of Atlus' creativity".
ReFantazio received a score of 94 on Metacritic, while on OpenCritic it was recommended by 99% of reviewers.
The game will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and 5, and the Xbox Series. Rumours are circulating online that Metaphor will be added to the Game Pass catalogue as well, but there has been no confirmation of this yet.
