Strategy developers Songs of Conquest have revealed details of the first Vanir DLC and revealed when the game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and mobile devices
Lavapotion Studios has shared important news about support for Songs of Conquest, a fantasy turn-based strategy game that many consider to be the spiritual heir to the cult game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
The developers revealed the release date of the Vanir add-on and informed when the game will be released on other platforms.
Here's What We Know
Originally it was planned that the major Bleak East add-on will be released in spring 2025 and will offer an additional story campaign and two factions. But the developers decided to split it into two DLCs - Vanir and Roots.
The first one will be released by the end of 2024 and will add one faction inspired by the heroes of Scandinavian legends and a winter location.
The Vanir DLC will offer the following content:
- 8 units with unique abilities and characteristics, while developing characters - creatures will change both in appearance and in terms of game mechanics;
- 9 masters with new and old specialisations;
- city and settlements with new structures;
- 7 new maps (2 for trials and 5 for conquests);
- artefact sets adapted to the gameplay for Vanir. The other factions will get other bonuses from the artefacts.
Lavapotion noted that most of the content for Vanir is already ready, all that's left is to tweak the balance and fix some technical issues.
The second DLC Roots will be released in the summer of 2025 and will also offer a lot of new content, about which the developers do not tell yet.
The studio also announced great news for console gamers - Songs of Conquest will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in winter, and next summer on iOS and Android.
Notably, in winter 2025, the strategy will be released on another "secret" platform, perhaps it will be Nintendo Switch 2.
